I need to do a camo cake this weekend and I think I have an idea of how to make the tan color I need, but I wanted to get some insight from the lovely people here that know so much.

I use Wilton gel colors and wondered what colors I should use to make a color close to tan.

Thanks!
Crystal

Will you be using any brown? If so, I would use chocolate icing and to get the tan, add some white to it to get the tan. That's what I do. You could also use Ivory or a touch of brown to color the white.

(I have a Camo Smash cake in my pics that I just did using the chocolate and white to get tan)

I know flesh coloring comes from using copper, so you may try that a little at a time.

When I made my camo cakes I think I jut added a tiny bit of brown to the white.

I also added tiny amounts of brown until I came up with the color I needed. Camo cakes are fun!
Good luck,
