I have read all of the topics about a moist cake. I was wondering has anyone used yogurt in their cake? If so how did it taste? How did it come out, was it moist?

I baked 2 cakes today and used nonfat yogurt in both instead of sour cream. They taste very good. I used it in a pinch, when I realized I was out of sour cream.

Every yellow cake i make, i use the box recipe and add 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of flour, 6 oz of low fat vanilla yogurt, an extra egg and a tsp of vanilla. If you look in recipes under Cake Mix Extender. I just looove the taste of it. and so does everyone that eats my cakes. I have a freind who is getting married and says my cake tastes better than any wedding cake she has ate, and all i use was that recipe. So hopefully that may help you.
It makes extra batter which is nice to I think.
