Dried Egg Albumen?

Hi there.. last night i tried for the first time ever to make this rolled fondant from a book..

1 egg white made from dried egg albumen? what is that!!??
30 mls liquid glocose
500 grams icing sugar

well i thought maybe the first ingrediant on the list just ment egg white? so thats what i did but goodness it was just crumbly.. didnt work.. does anyone know what dried egg albumen is??

Check out http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/albumen... it just means egg white.

It's just dried egg white (now why didn't they just say that)!

I googled it and am ever more confused now. Is it maybe meringue powder?
