Ok, so im making the Daphne cake from Scooby Doo. I made a 11in daphne using the frozen buttercream method. I think the cake will look "boring" with out anything else. I was thinking maybe a ghost border around the top and bottom edge of cake. any suggestions on how to make that? or maybe some other suggestions too.

Thanks as always!

Kelly

the link doesn't seem to be working...i just googled scooby doo and clicked images.

Maybe some swirls to give it that funky 70's look. Or some of the sayings that they are always saying.

if you look in my photos you will see scooby doo themed cake.. this was for a man who didn't actually want scooby on it, just the colors.. you could use this ideas... I think the little orange paws were cute and everyone raved about them... so maybe instead of ghosts, since SD isn't always ghosts, you could scooby paws or little bones... scooby snacks.. just a thought!

The first thing that came to mind with Daphne was the 60's type flowers . Maybe some cut outs to go around the border of the FBCT, and more in diff. sizes for bottom and top border.

you can make ghosts with a tip 12.start by applying heavy preasure so your icing builds up and fans out(keep the bag 45 degree angle)almost like you were piping a shell but with a tip 12.as you draw the bag towards you and down to get the tail, just go in a squigly line to get the ghost tail effect!give it two black dots(tip2)for eyes.I have done these before and they are so cute and simple.
