I'm curious if anybody has ever taken a doll cake made in the wondermold pan, and cut it into two or three layers with frosting in between. If so, did it hold up or slip?

I've done it. It held up just fine. I then covered it with MMF. I also transported it 30 miles!

I haven't done it with this particular shape but I have done it with my 3D cakes. Then I do those I just stack my cake and carve. Then I seperate the layers and add the filling. Just make sure you have the dam for your filling like you would on any other cake and you sould be fine. If you still have concerns maybe take a few bamboo skewers and stick them in (just remember where they are and to tell the recipient!

HTH, that's a good idea for the extra support. Thanks.

I'm not planning on covering it with fondant, just buttercream.
