I have an order for next Wednesday for 4 dozen mini cupcakes for 2 preschool classes, same parent ordering all 4 dozen... any suggestions on pricing? I am thinking of just asking her to the buy the supplies... but didn't know what everyone else would do? She asked me how much I would charge because she can get them so cheap at walmart... and I was like uggghhhh, never done mini's before. She is a good friend, so that she even offered to pay for supplies is good for me, especially in the legal arena.. any thought?
my plan is to ice them in decorative fashion with sprinkles or those little conversation hearts on top. The liners are the mini v-day ones.
well last I checked Wal-mart sells thier mini cupcakes only in white or chocolate with buttercream icing on them as 12 for $2.50. But they also come in frozen from somewhere and are just labeled with a pull date.
If you are going to be making this just as a friend then you can have her just buy your supplies. But if you want to make anything for your time then I would suggest at least 40 cents for each cupcake I would probably ask 50 cents minimum. Even at 25 cents for each you are only asking $3.00 from her. I think they take me a little bit more time b/c they are smaller and I usually have to be a little bit more careful with the small things or a finger might end up in one.
Not sure if this helped or confused. Let us know what you decide
