Hi all! I have been lurking for a few months, but have yet to post... until nowicon_smile.gif I actually just started decorating cakes a couple of months ago. My daughter's first birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I want to make "cookie bouquet" centerpieces for the tables. My question is... Where do I even start? Is there a forum topic that discusses the how to's and other basics; such as recipes? I tried to browse, but became frustrated. ANY help is very much appreciated! Thank you SOOOOOOO much!!!!

On the main homepage, there is a section called Articles. Scroll down and you will see How to Make and Bake Cookies ( or something to that effect). Check that out, it is really informative and I am sure it will help you get started. I love baking and decorating cookies, I am much better at it then this cake thing! If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me, I would be glad to help you out. icon_lol.gif

Hi! Welcome to CC!

There are a TON of posts about cookie boquets that you might want to read. you might want to try doign a search for "cookie boquest" or just browse through the cookie forum.

I'll try to go get the links and add them, but one that comes to mind is by Cake_Princess and is about cookie bouquets. Also, there is an article in the "article" section about how to decorate cookies by Antonia74. Two great places to start!

Hello fellow Newbie!

If you'll go to the top of any page and click on the search tab, it will open up a spot where you can type in the words - cookie bouquet - then it will lead you to photos and a sample list of all the forum threads on the topic.

That is how I learned...surfing the net...I got the recipe for NFSC (no fail sugar cookie) and recipe for rbc(rolled buttercream) and read all the cookie answers and questions on here about what not to do!....I now have orders for 15 cookie bouquets for valentines and 11 cake orders....I will take off from my day job a couple of days and get everything done for the 14th! I did my first bouquets at Christmas, I actually enjoy doing them more than the cakes.
