You might work on your lettering a little to avoid having to go over your lines, but the cake itself looks good! I always use waxed paper strips around the base of my cakes to keep the boards clean, then remove carefully to do the final border.

What consistancy icing are you using for your writing? What tip size? Maybe thinner icing would be easier to work with and a larger tip would make your lettering the size you want it without having to go back over your lines. I like the color of purple your using. Paw prints look great!
