I need some help. I never have made a fondant dog before and I have a request to make two of them the person buying cake has chocolate labs for dogs and wants them on cake. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea of even how to make one. Any direction or advise would be super. Thanks in advance for all the help. Love everyone here.
I did try to search and did not come up with anything. The dogs are only going to be very little on top of cake. probably about 2 or 3 inches long. nothing big. I will try to search again. Otherwise I am just going to tell her that I can not do this as I don't know how ![]()

Hi Amy,
Here are some pics of dogs I've made if you need other ideas. One is a chinese crested, the other a pit bull.
The way I make it is similar to the instructions in that photo from CC. Plus I use wire for support.
I would suggest using modelling paste (fondant:gumpaste 50:50) instead of fondant, as it dries firmer.
Happy modelling and show us your finished doggies!
