You are going to have so much fun with it! Will you be printing on occassion for family and friends? Or will you be printing weekly for customers?
There are two models out there for the choosing. Epson and Canon. I have been printing for over 10 years now and prefer the Canon because of its removable printhead. What that means is that if your printer clogs, you will be able to remove the part that clogs and clean it. That being said, what is more important is your ink and the company you purchase it from. The ink needs to have a good reputation for vibrancy and quality against clogging. I suggest you call any company you are considering purchasing from and talk to them. Ask them about their inks and clog records. By talking with the company you will know. Their expertiece on the phone and any info they give you will help you make your decision.
