Making a cake this weekend for a lady at works daughter. It's in the shape of a peace sign and she wants buttercream icing done in tie dye design. Anyone know of a good was to do this? Should I just put the different colors on in swirls and then just mix them with a toothpick? I really want this to look nice for her!

I did a "groovy" cake for a client this past year, and I used several different colors in stripes on the top (it was a rectangle) then took my decorators comb and pulled it down along with the stripes like a wavy line, then pulled it across them. It came out pretty cool. I also found some free clip art from the 60's & 70's printed on edible sheets, and cut them out in different sizes, it looked wacked! icon_lol.gif The client loved it. I didn't think it was totally appropriate to post on here so I didn't. If you would like you could pm me and I can email you what it looked like.

This could be pretty cool for you. Good luck. icon_wink.gif
