Waht does everyone cover their cake boards with to make them match the theme of the cake

I cover the top of the board with fondant and trim the edge out with coordinating ribbon.

I have used fondant. Lately I have used wrapping paper covered with clear contact paper. I just did a ladybug cake and used bright green pearlized paper...worked perfect with the cake color. Zebra cake used black paper covered with clear contact. I have used butcher paper and it has a waxed coating so it does not stain with grease. To me the silver foil paper gets old. I try to use one of my own plates or stands, but if I'm not sure if I will recieve it back then I like the paper method...cheaper than fondant.

I discovered a "don't" recently. I tried covering in wrapping paper, then plastic wrap over it. The plastic wrap just looked terrible. I guess I need to find some clear contact paper for next time.
