Please try to stop a disagreement I'm having w/ my mother. LOL. I'm making a 3D violin cake for a co-worker's son. I was going to charge her $25 for this cake, thinking that was pretty darn cheap. Now my mother thinks I'm charging too much for this cake because her neighbor only charges her $5 a cake. Now her cakes are nice but not as detailed as I do and not 3D. Am I charging too much? I should probably mention that this is the first time that I've charged anyone for a cake. LOL

I charge a minimum of $5 per serving for any 3D cake. I think $25 is ridiculously low, and $5 is insulting.
