Hi Everybody,

Does anyone know how to make ribbon roses using royal icing, buttercream or whatever it is that has to be used to make them. I really like the look and I would like to do them tonight?

I know it's last minute, but I just saw some and thought they might be cute to add to my order!

Thanks for replying icon_smile.gif

I have tried them before and you basically have to be able to spin the rose nail around quite quickly while you pipe as you want one continous ribbon of icing but it is harder than you think.Try it!! Mine didn't turn out so great but everyone's techinique is different.

im finishing up my first wedding cake tonight and i am using the fondant ribbon roses on it...they are a lot eaiser than i thought...if that is the kind that you want to my best advice to you would be to just play with it to find what works for you...i found that if i put the tip end of the strip of fondant between the first 2 fingers on my hand and then wrapped the rest around the 2 fingers lightly that they came out best...im not sure if thats the "right" way or not but it worked for me. hth
