Ladies, I am looking for an absolutely amazing, lick-your-plate-clean buttercream recipe. Not an overly sweet one, like you get in the stores, but a to die for one. I am making a two tier cake for my friends baby shower, so it will need to work on that. Any tips?? I know I can always count on this site, I love it!!

I'm not sure about the others on CC, but I love the buttercream dream in this sites recipes. It's not too sweet or too buttery or leaving you like you just ate a bowl of crisco. It's the only one my DH and kids will eat now.

I'm very partial to the hi-ratio frosting recipe submitted by Cakemanoh.

There is another variation, which calls for 1 stick of butter to be added in addition to all the other ingredients - this is the one I use.

I also recommend adding creme bouquet flavoring emulsion, along with vanilla or almond.
