I heard everyones advise about transporting cakes with the no slip shelf material. But do you put the cake on top of that. Or is the cake on a cardboard and then the cardboards on top of the non stick shelf stuff? Do you always give customers the cakes with cardboard circles underneath them? --sorry totally new at all of this!!! icon_rolleyes.gificon_redface.gificon_smile.gif

I always use the non-slip shelve stuff from the dollar store to transport baked goods from my shop, never leave home w/o it.

Hi, YEEEES! Always use a cake board for all your cakes!!! And then you put the non slip material on your car and place the cake with the cake board on it. The cake usually stays put on the cake board, not a problem there! HTH

Glue your cake to the cardboard cake board with a bit of buttercream, then in the cake box, I put a piece of that waffle-like rubbery shelf liner in the box to sit the cake on. Then the box sits on top of another piece on a FLAT part of my vehicle!! The cake does not move!!
