What design are you putting on the cupcakes? If you aren't doing any special design you can use tip..........6B. Or any LARGE STAR TIP you have. icon_biggrin.gif

Are you just arranging cupcakes on a cake board and frosting them? I just make sure the cupcakes are "glued" down with BC and then plop frosting on and smooth like a regular cake. By just plopping frosting on in various places on the "cake" I haven't had a problem filling in the gaps. Plus I usually have my cupcakes really close together so I don't have many gaps. Hope this answers a question for you. There are some examples in my pictures.

Here's a linkhttp://members.nuvox.net/~zt.proicer/message/saved/cupcakes.html
cali4dawn (from CC) has a great tutorial on her website also. I use the cake icer tip to frost mine instead of "just plopping your icing" on top of cake. Just be sure to put your cc's close together to minimize gaps between them as much as possible. I use the viva method to smooth mine too. Then decorate as you wish, add a border and Voila you're done!

PS-Some people recomend "glueing" the cc's to the cake board w/a dab of BC. I don't do that and have never had any problems, but use your own judgement. I did read a post where a lady said she bakes her cc's w/2 liners, so that the person eating cc, can just throw away the liner that has the BC on it that she glued it down with.
