Has anyone tried this recipe from CC site? I just made some this morning but it seems to soft to decorate with. I do like the taste, it is light and not so sweet. I put the frosting into the freezer per directions but will that help it hold shape? It's still hot in AZ so I am hoping it doesn't melt all over. Thanks

what was the question?

Ebwmom, how did you make out with it? I love, love this BC but it is soft. I usually freeze it once the cake is done (freeze first then thaw to ice, freeze again) but it will hold up just fine in the fridge. You can do basic borders with it but that's about it, I found. Sometimes I don't care too much and will use it for a basic cake because the taste is so good.

Thanks for the bump denise and thanks for the info Zamode. I don't think I will use this BC for the cake I am making but will take your advise and use it for a basic cake. It is strange when it comes out of the freezer, all crumbly. You two are so funny

Ebw it would be great for ice cream cake or just a cake that can be refrigerated. It worked well for me in cooler temperatures here in NJ but out by you, you might have to wait a bit. Just don't bring it outside! Yes, it comes out crumbly but just let it come to room temp or soften a bit and rewhip it gently. You should have no problem with any borders but you can't do flowers with it, I haven't been able to anyway. I've wondered if you could add more confectioner's sugar to it to thicken it up some, it's not sweet so it wouldn't be too bad to affect the taste....
