Has anyone used Almond Bark instead of candy melts? I know that almond bark will color nicley, and set up hard, but have never tried it for tranfers. It would be alot less expensive than candy melts

I don't see why it wouldn't work. If ya have some on hand you can always try and see what happens. icon_smile.gif

I used it for transfers. The cake in my pictures has transfers on it made from almond bark.
Take a look:

It works great.

Hi Frostie
Almond bark will work about the same. The main difference is the amount of cocoa butter and pariffin content. The quality of the wafers is better and that is the main difference. You'll notice it mostly in taste. Have you tried it yet?

Use have to use an oil base color like candy colors. The paste colors thicken it and liquid solidifies it. That has been my experience.
