After searching the forums, i think i'm even more confused. I need to serve 150 guests, and i'm making 11x15 2-layer sheet cakes.
I've found several posts-some say 1 will serve 22, some say 35, wilton says 60......AAAHHHHHH!!
In my mind I was thinking that 4 of the 11x15 2-layer sheet cakes would be enough. Am I wrong?

I mean it depends on what size serving you are selling.
I would sell two of those to get to 150-ish servings 1x2x4.

The nice thing about sheet cakes is you can just do the math to figure the servings.

An 11x15, when cut in the standard 2x2x2 (single layer) serving size, means you will cut the cake in approximately 5 rows by 7 columns = 35 servings.

If you cut them in 2x3x2 serving size, then the cake will be cut in approx 5 rows by 5 columns = 25 servings.

So four of them should serve approx 140 (35 x 4 = 140).

If you use 12x18 sheets .....

2x2x2 will yield 54 servings (6 rows by 9 columns)
2x3x2 will yield 36 servings (6 rows by 6 columns)

3 of these will yield 162 servings (54 x 3).
