Hi there!
I am looking for info on how to make the chocolate tiaras that are on the top of several of the cakes posted in the gallery. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance!

OPBBTL (Old Post Brought Bak to Life)

If you do a search using the word "tiara" you will find several threads on this topic.

I found this info that Kiddiekakes posted;

You tape a template under wax paper around a coffee tin or something round but smaller diameter and you pipe the royal icing over top of the template.When it dries you carefully remove the tiara.You have to pipe it thick so it just won't break the second you touch it!! You probably will have to do it two or three times before it doesn't completely break on you!!

I would think you could use melted chocolate instead of royal icing!

You could probably use an empty 2 liter pop bottle instead of a coffee can. It is smaller and you can squeeze the air out of it in order to reducing breaking when removing it.

Just a thought!

you can do like i'm doing purchase a flat crown from a dollar store trace the crown onto parchment paper melt the chocolate chips paint the templates after they have set remove the paper just like making your chocolate leaves. i hope that the instructions will help and you can understand them. good luck
