Poinsettia Christmas Cake
This is the cake I decorated for Christmas this year. For the painting I worked off a Christmas poinsettia image i found off the internet and painted it using americolour bright white and food colouring then outlined the design with gold and also added some pearl cachous on the top and around it which i dusted lightly in gold shimmer dust. Didn't turn out quite how i envisioned it so had to make a few changes, but think it turned out alright in the end :) Thanks for looking!

Pearls are almond icing with pearl lustre, first time sawgs are fondant, bird is fondant/tylose with gold lustre dust and flowers are materlal painted also with gold lustre dust. Not completely happy with how it turned out cose had problems with the fondant being too soft but it could have been worse lol Thanks for looking!

Purple Flower
This is just a simple dummy cake i did to practice some more of my painting on cakes which i love doing. Handpainted with gel pastes diluted with vodka and americolor bright white. This is based on an beautiful set of flower oil paintings i found. I also tried to add a bit of the texture that was in the painting onto the cake surface with dabbing of whites, creams and pinks as a background. I am really happy with how it turned out :) Thanks for looking!

The roses (which I not really happy with) and the leaves are fondant and the butterfly is bought. This is my first real tiered cake (previous ones were dummies) and I am pretty happy with it and now actually stacking a proper larger cake is my next challenge! lol Thanks for looking!

Family Of Teddy Bears
These are the bears i have created so far that are going on plaques for the top of cakes (little one was my first test bear). All are fondant with tylose and then hand painted with dilted paste colours and each is holding their own little teddy. P.S they don't look as messily painted in real life, but they are meant to have a slight 'rustic' look lol. Thanks for looking!

Henry The Bear Holding His Teddy
I made this little bear as a quick test run for a slightly larger version I will make soon. Until I get some gumpaste he is just make out of regular fondant and details painted with diluted paste colourings (still a little wet in photo). He is my third figurine and even though he isnât really being used for anything I was so proud and love him so much I had to share him with you guys lol The second photo shows him as a final on a plaque but still need to tweak that. Oh and he is about 1 1/2 inches tall amd his teddy is an 1/2 inch tall lol. Thanks for looking!

First Imbc Cake
Made this cake to test out IMBC on a cake as well as smoothing it. Coconut cake with vanilla IMBC and chocolate mousse filling...yum! Fern things and flower are made out of fondant which i just randomly cut out into the shape of some sort of flower...not sure what it's called lol and piping is buttercream. Really happy with how the IMBC ended up and must say is fun too smooth lol Oh and it is on my new cake stand i got for christmas which i love! Thanks for looking!

First Person Figure
This is the second fondant figure I have made but my first person one! She is made out of normal fondant and her upper body from her hips down is attached to a foam cone to create the base for the dress. All details are hand painted with diluted gel colours and even though some areas donât look quite right or bit wonky etc I am really proud of my first effort. She took me on and off during the day over 2 days to make but it was really fun and even though she looks a bit wedding-ish I still wanted to do a pretty white dress so I thought oh doesnât matter Iâll do it anyway lol She isn't apart of any cake, I just wanted to challenge myself to see if I could actually even make a person figurine. Thanks for looking!

The flower design is based on the top tier of a beautiful two teir cake I saw by sugarsugargal so full credit to her on that :) It is a 7" carrot cake with cream cheese frosting covered in fondant. I freehand painted the flower with diltued gel pastes and was very fun to do and then just added a little blackbird to sit on top of it :) Thanks for looking!

Gingerbread Sleigh
I decided to give gingerbread houses a break this year and do a sleigh instead (havn't done one since early highschool!). I got the side design for the sleigh from a photo of a sleigh figurine and thought it was simple and elegant and made my own template from the image. Red and green quilting on sides/front/back and chair and holly also on the sides are done with fondant and all the piping is done with RI and edible gold paint. I then added some tree ornaments I found also that i thought were perfect to add and then did a mixture of crushed up RI and icing sugar to make the 'snow' at the base of the sleigh. Final picture shows it as a final centre piece with my mum's favourite santa figurine she has :) Thanks for looking!! Oh and added a template scaled down from A4 :)

Brambly Hedge - Mrs Apple
This is a cake I have done for my cousin for her birthday. She loves the books 'Brambly Hedge' which is about a village of mice. I chose the character Mrs Apple who loves to cook and everything so I decided to do the cake as a jar of homemade jam preserve like she might make and then made the label of the jar the title and logo of the books. On top is the chraracter Mrs Apple which is the first figurine I have made! and she is made out of fondant (which went a bit soft and caused me problems lol) and the label is also fondant and handpainted using diltued gel pastes and lustre dust and lid is covered with material and tied with string. I am pretty happy with how the cake turned out (despite the problems) cose it was actually how i envisioned it for once :) Oh and jar was stacked and carved from a tall sheet cake. Thanks for looking!

A simple cake I made for my friends birthday to take to a resturant dinner. White and dark chocolate marble mud cake with chocolate buttercream, chocolate fudge piping and fondant bow. The bow is actually my first bow and am pretty happy with how it went, oh and the stiching on the bow is piped fudge, lettering on plaque is piped buttercream. I am a bit dissapointed with the cake cose it didn't turn out how i planned but the birthday girl liked it so i am happy lol Thanks for looking!

Handbag Cookies
Nothing much to do today so I decided to play around with some leftover cookie dough again and try out a design have wanted to do for a while. I thought it would be pretty cool to try making some handbag cookies that were not completely flat and sort of realistic looking. Main covering plus all details are fondant and details were painted with silver and gold lustre dust and gel pastes. They were pretty fiddly lol but I think they turned out alright. Two of them are replicas of handbags I have and the other off the internet. Thanks for looking!

Pink Rose Cookie Bouquet
This is a rose cookie bouquet I have made my mum for her birthday and also is my first cookie bouquet so that is a bit exciting! Rose shape was cut from a template I made from a pic on the internet and then I freehand piped the petals on the rose and then hand painted them with diluted pink gel paste. It is almond biscuit with RI. I added in fake flower stems to add a little extra something and the box comes from a previous flower arrangement from a florist that was the perfect colour I needed! I am really happy with the end product and mum said she loved it. Thanks for looking!

Coffee Cup Cupcakes
These are some coffee cup cupcakes that I did for my mumâs birthday afternoon tea. I have wanted to do these for ages and finally got the chance to do them but have to say I am a little disappointed because they werenât exactly how I envisioned them to look because I couldnât find the right cupcake wrappers I wanted etc but I did the best I could at the time. The idea was to make them look like a real cup of coffee with the little handles on the wrapper, the froth on top, and some pretend steam. Handles were gumpaste and painted with edible gold paint, steam was gumpaste and they were chocolate cupcakes with 7 minute frosting and cocoa on top. Thanks for looking!

The Zebra And The Dog
I love these little guys :) The little zebra actually comes from a drawing i did many years ago of a zebra toy i always thought was cute and the other happy little fella i found wondering all alone on the internet so i though i would give him a home and pop him on a cookie too lol Just did a couple of each to decorate a small test batch of gluten free cookies i was doing (they turned out decent enough lol). Flooded RI (I was limited to only using a small amount of icing due to diet requirements) with freehand edible ink marker detail and outline to try something different. Thanks for looking!
