Farewell Cake
This was a farewell cake for a woman who created a division in her company that provided resources, research and literacy programs for children in under-served communities. The hands, heart and globe were made out of RKT covered with a mixture of modelling chocolate and fondant. I incorporated purple because it's her favorite color. Thank you to all the CCers that helped me out with ideas and direction that led me to this final design.

My Very First Wedding Cake
This is a cake decorated for my childhood friend who lives in England. She had someone else do the baking and covering in fondant since she wanted real fruit cake, and I did the decorating. Thank you to all the wonderful cakers who helped me when I called out to bakers in the UK a few months ago.

Chinese Baby Shower
This is the hardest cake I've worked on so far - took me FOREVER! It's for a baby shower for friends that are both Chinese. The cake was delivered as a closed box, then "opened" to reveal the baby clothes inside. I used ready made red fondant and added gum trag so the box panels would be stiff and stay upright. Thanks to Florimbio and eneq for their help when I was stuck and nervous about taking this on. I must say I was very disappointed with the Lucks edible gold ribbon - what was supposed to be gold trim looks like masking tape! Oh well... The lid is styrofoam. The future daddy selected the symbols on each panel of the cake and lid.

Baby Bathing In A Barrel
Inspired by Jasley's Winnie the Pooh in Hot Tub cake. Used marbled blue/white fondant for water, piping gel over that and then once all the baby parts and toys and bubbles were in place, I steamed it to make everything look wet. Used a Dresden tool to make "cobblestone floor" on cake board and impression mat for wood grain.

Book Cake
The biggest challenge I've ever had so far. This cake was for the party I hosted for my husband's 30th birthday. Thanks to CakeDiosa for inspiration from her 50th Anniversary Vignette and to prterrell and Jacque2241 for help when I was going crazy. Everything is edible except the bottom book and the Bible, which are Styrofoam covered in fondant.
