18Th Birthday Cake Flower
This was for an 18th Birthday party. It was a double layer 8 inch yellow cake iced in buttercream with MMF flowers. They requested yellow elder flowers which are the national flower of the Bahamas. I tried to get them as close as I could to the real flower but had no luck with buttercream so I switched to MMF. I put shimmer dust on them.

Olympic Torch Parade Cupcakes In A Ice Cream Cone
I made these for my son's preschool Olympic parade. I made them for all the 4 & 5 year olds. They gave me the supplies and I made them at home. I forget what magazine these were in, I already gave it back to the preschool. They were supposed to have fruit roll ups as part of the flames but I couldn't get it to stand up. So instead, I striped my bag red and orange & used yellow buttercream icing.

Going Away Birthday Cake
This was made for a lady who was leaving a company and her birthday is next week. All they said they wanted was chocolate cake with dark chocolate buttercream. I was told to make it as simple as possible since it was less than 24 hrs notice but I don't do simple very well. If it can be complicated, I will do that, LOL!! Wanted to say THANKS to imakecakes who helped me out with with some suggestions. It's all buttercream with the exception of the flowers which were MMF.

Valentine's Day Cupcake Cake
This is a 25 cupcake cake for my daughter's kindergarten class. When I asked her what she wanted, she said it had to look like a heart, not one just drawn on it and had to be cupcakes but not look like cupcakes. She said, you know Mom it should look like a big heart cake. The mind of a six year old, LOL, I guess I shouldn't have given her so many options!! The cupcakes were golden vanilla with red dye added. I iced it in buttercream and used candy molds for the letters and decorations.

Magic Theme Cake
This was a 12 x 18 sheet cake with one side was french vanilla and the other chocolate fudge. The cake was icing in buttercream but all the magic theme items were royal icing. The letters were made with candy melts. I used Betty Crocker spray can yellow on the top of the cake. Then I added some sparkle dust near the letters and the wand. This was my first time making things other than letters and sugar cookies with royal icing. I had a blast designing this and it seemed faster than making a BCT. Maybe because I did the decorations days before the cake was due and all I had to do that day was ice the cake and place the decorations on it.

Monster Truck Cupcake Cake
This was a 24 cupcake cake made to resemble a monster truck. It is buttercream with buttercream filled cupcakes and a little royal icing too. The truck was a buttercream transfer. I did the wheels separate from the body and then added the details after it was on the cake. The silver is actually royal icing, it kinda left it with a shiny metalic sheen. I had the worst time making the red for the truck. I made the icing over 24 hrs ahead of time and it just wouldn't darken. I added maroon, a touch of black but still didn't get what I wanted. Oh well hopefully won't have that problem next time since I just ordered some americolor super red & others, can't wait to try that stuff!!

Lion Face Cupcake Cake
This is a cupcake cake made into the shape of a lion. I was asked to make a lion but not a scary one, more like a fun cartoon kinda lion. There are 24 cupcakes in it with buttercream icing. For the mane, I used my new best friend, LOL, Hershey's dark cocoa for the extra dark buttercream and then added it to my regular buttercream for milk chocolate. Then I put two bags of icing into one bag and piped the mane so that their would be two different colors instead of just one. I think it turned out okay but might just try striping the bag next time, it was hard piping pull out stars with two bags inside of one, LOL!! Got that idea of sugarcrafts website where they actually sell a bag made for that purpose but I was too cheap to buy it.

Hello Kitty Cupcake Cake
I made this for my daughters birthday to take to school. This one gave me a hard time but my daughter and her classmates liked it. I misjudged the size of the cupcake cake so my BCT was way too big. Also, my BCT somehow got folded in the freezer so it didn't turn out very smooth. I tried to fix it but was afraid I would push the whole thing through an opening in the cupcake cake and really make things worse, LOL!! Oh well, lesson learned I hope!

Dark Chocolate Birthday Cake
Nothing really specialy about this cake, just posting this to show the Special Dark Chocolate Butter Cream Icing I was finally able to make using Hershey's new dutch processed cocoa. I made this for a close friend's 43rd birthday. We both LOVE dark chocolate!! I really like the color of this frosting, so glad I was finally able to find the cocoa!!

40Th Birthday Cake Old Mare
I made this cake for a friend of mine who is turing 40. For the record, no I don't think this age is over the hill but had to pick on her cause I am not there yet, LOL. She loves horses so I the first thing that came to mine was to make a tired Old Mare so we can put her out to pasture. The horse is a BCT and the cake is chocolate fudge with mini morsels. The icing is chocolate buttercream.

Support Your Troop Ribbon Cookies
These were made for the annual cookie drive on base for the airman. I made six dozen of these and my wrists still feel it. I think I will see yellow ribbons for days, LOL! Some of these are being shipped to Iraq so cross your fingers for the troops and hope they don't end up with crumbs. These are no fail sugar cookies and antonia74's icing recipe.

House Cookies
Made these out some extra dough and icing for a realtor friend of mine who was having an open house. They were "kinda" decorated like the house she was trying to sell which she now has a contract on it. So I tease her that it was all because of the cookies. The people who put the contract on it had the cutest little girl who thought the cookie was really good. These are no fail cookies with Antonia74's royal icing.

Soccer Balls & Trophies Mini Cupcakes
These are mini cupcakes I made to go along with the soccer ball for my daughter's end of the season party. They are iced with white or green buttercream. The tops are decorated with candy melt shaped either like a trophy or a soccer ball. I planned to do all trophies but ran out of white icing and I thought the soccer balls looked better on those. The trophies were peanut butter flavored candy melts YUMMY!

Cookie Bouquet
With the extra cookie dough and icing from my halloween cookies, I decided to make my first cookie bouquet for my son's teacher. It turned out pretty well but I learned some things NOT to do, LOL!! She just returned from her second surgery and hopefully her last. She is really a great teacher and my son wanted me to make her some "special" cookies just for her. She is from Texas so I added some things in there for that along with teacher items.

Halloween Cookies
No fail sugar cookies with Antonia's royal icing recipe. Since my son's preschool was only allowed a "fall festival" party, I decided to make pumkins instead of jack-o-lanterns. I struggled with the bats, I thought they needed some outlining or something else but nothing I tried looked good.

Realtor Cookies
These are sugar cookies iced with Royal Icing. I did these to go along with the cake for my friend's grand opening of her business. Since her office is right near the base and hopefully that is where most of her business with come from, her colors are red, white, & blue so we chose that for the cookies houses. I made 3 dozen of these. I can certainly see now why others here suggest at least $2 a cookies. I am sure I spent 6 or more hours baking and decorating these.

Grand Open Of Realty Business Cake
Made this for a friend of mine who just opened up her own business. Hopefully I will get some referrals from this. It is an 11 x 15 single layer cake. It is half french vanilla & chocolate. I got the suggestion here to use covered cardboard as a divider and stand it up in the center. I poured them in on each side while my hubby held it for me. It worked great. It is iced in buttercream, royal icing letters and BCT for the F15E.

Letter H Cookies
I finally got a chance to make the royal icing Antonia74 posted and used the no fail sugar cookie recipe. I HIGHLY recommend both!! These were very time consuming but it was fun making them and they were not as hard to do as I feared. I made 3 dozen of these and took them in for my daughter's kindergarten snack time. Their color for the week is brown and the letter of course is H.

Superman Birthday Cake
Single layer half sheet cake. I don't have a half sheet cake pan yet so I baked two 1/4 sheet cakes, one side yellow and the other side is chocolate. Iced in buttercream with candy melt letters. Superman is a buttercream transfer. Over all I am happy with the BCT but I couldn't get the face right. Maybe next time, LOL!

Green Letter Mini Cupcakes
These are mini cupcakes. Nothing spectacular but thought it might give someone a neat idea for school. Since my daughter's kindergarten class is studying capital M, lower case m and Me My this week and the color green I came up with this idea. Each kid will get two mini cupcakes, one m and a vowel. They will be able to make a word and have to tell us which word they get. Figure I would make the work for their snack treat since I had to work to make them, LOL!!
