Pansies
I made this for my sister to take to work for her co-worker's birthday. It is an updated version of the first cake I ever did for a competition (I never liked the side work on the original cake). It is a 9" cake, 3" high. I used a #1 tip for the crosshatching, #2 for outlining the scrolls, and I used the Wilton pattern press to do the scrolls.

Easter Eggs
I wanted to try out a new cookie recipe, as well as do cookies that had a lot of piping. These were not as time-consuming as I thought, and I had alot of fun doing them. I settled on using 4 colors, and all piping was done with either a #1s tip, or a #1. Hope the details photograhed okay...the thumbnail was hard to see!

Southwestern Sun
My parents live in Arizona, and you can't go past too many houses before you see a ceramic sun. I love the bright colors and cheerful expressions. So naturally I would want to turn them into cookies! These were way-y-y more time consuming than I had thought, but I enjoyed making them.

Ladybug & Yellowjacket
I've been making these cupcakes ever since seeing them in a magazine article back in 1996. I tweaked them a tiny bit, but they're pretty much as they appeared in the magazine. The head is a large gumdrop and the wings are chocolate wafer cookies (Nabisco brand) cut in half. Easiest things in the world to make!

Angels
The design for this cookie came from an old Wilton Yearbook. It was meant to be used as a color flow plaque, but I took one look and decided it would be perfect for a heart shaped cookie. I wish i had done a better job on the outlining, but I made the mistake of doing it with not enough icing in my bag. Bummer. But the design was fairly simple and i was surprised at how quickly the decorating went for this cookie.

Valentine Flamingos
I originally saw this design on a cake in an old Wilton Yearbook. I didn't know if it would look as nice when put on a small cookie, but I was pretty happy with the result. I drew the picture on the cookie with a food decorating pen, then filled in with icing. It was a fairly simple design to do!

Christmas Buddies
A 9" round, 2 layer cake that I made for my sister and her fellow nurses. They aren't very critical of my cakes, so they shouldn't care that my poinsettias are less than prize winning! It was a fun cake to make, and I really like the graphic. It is based on something I saw on a free clipart website.

Raggedy Ann & Andy
I've had the idea to do a 3D Raggedy Ann and Andy for a long time, but was too worried they wouldn't turn out nice to give them a try. (The dolls have special meaning for me). I had some leftover dough and decided, "What the heck?" I had so-o-o much fun making these cookies, even with the mistakes!

Santa & Polar Bear
I liked Peggy Karr's reindeer ornament so much, I bought two more! These are the 3" cookies I made from the ornament designs. I'll be making more cookies later, and giving them and the ornaments to my sisters as Christmas gifts. (You'll notice that the polar bear is pretty much the same design as the reindeer, only white instead of brown, and without the antlers.)

Four Seasons W/lace Pieces
This is a 3" cookie divided into quadrants with lace pieces. Each season is represented by a flower: yellow daffodil, pink carnation, orange mum, red poinsettia. The lace pieces were piped onto waxed paper using a #1 tip and melted CandyKote wafers (super white color). Once hard, I flipped the pieces and over-piped with more candy. I wasn't happy with the poinsettia and daffodil, only because the size limitations made them difficult to do.

Tiki Cookies
These are chocolate, chocolate chip roll-out cookies (YUMM!) that I made for my family, who are all fans of tiki. The inspiration for the designs came from a book my husband has on the history of tiki. I made a cutter for these, as I will probably be doing more of them ( aprox. 2.25"x3.25").

Sailboat Cookies
A blatant and shameless rip-off of melysa's fondant cupcakes, made into cookies (and not nearly as cute as hers). Sorry the picture is of such poor quality...I over-exposed it, so the details did not come thru. The cookies were a big hit at the end-of-year dinner for my son's sailing club, though. I used Toba's glace.

Heart Cake
This is a 2-layer, 9" heart cake done for a co-worker of my sister's who was returning to work after having breast reduction surgery. The cornelli lace was done using a #1 tip, #18 for the borders along the top edge, #4 for the beaded necklace, #47 for the vertical mini-stripes at the base, and #16 for the borders along the mini-stirpes.

Patriotic Basketweave
This 9" round cake was decorated using (3) #2 vertical stripes and #47 horizontal stripes. The rope border was done using #18 tips. The cookies are made with a recipe similar to the NFSC on this site, and the icing for the cookies is similar to Toba's Glace. The stars on the heart cookies are purchased sprinkles.

Basketweave Cake W/ Strawberries
This was my week for doing basketweave cakes! For my sister's co-worker and all the other nurses. They don't care what's on the cake, as long as the cake is a chocolate/chocolate chip cake with chocolate frosting. This is an 8" square, decorated using a #48 tip for the horizontals, a #5 for the verticals, and #18's for the rope border.

Baseball Cookie/basket Cake
A 12" round cake for my niece's wedding. The groom loves the NY Yankees, my niece loves the Boston Red Sox. They wanted both teams on the Groom's cake. I decided since it was HIS cake, the Yankess should be more prominent than the Red Sox, so he got two cookies! Not the best picture...too frazzled by this point to remember I even needed one!
