Yellow Grey Chevron Baby Shower Cake
One of my most favorite and challenging cakes lately. The chevron was accomplished by following the instructions I found on this website http://jessicaharriscakedesign.com/2012/04/chevron-inspired-safari-themed-baby-shower/ Name plate and magnolia were freehand and were shaped with gum paste.

A quick cake I did for a friends daughter who loves Coraline. The Coraline figure is an edible image transferred to a button moon made of gum paste. The tree is a lot of black fondant rolled into strings and wrapped to make the shape.

30Th Wedding Anniversary Pirate Treasure Chest
Viola, this is the final result of the pirate treasure chest cake I made for my in-laws for their 30th Wedding Anniversary party; it was a pirates of the caribbean party. The only items that are not edible are the coins and rings, everything else is made of fondant and I used graham crackers for the sand. Inside is red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.

Dancers Birthday
Whoa, was this a fun one...it was my first real disaster and I think I recovered it well. The entire bottom tier collasped in on itself (too moist because of too many layers) and i had to rebake and stack the entire thing...thankfully this happened on the weekend. Cake is white with key lime mousse filling, dancers are edible images on gumpaste cutouts.

Flounder Birthday Party
Whoa, this one was a challenge. Took me about 10 hours to complete this cake but I think he resembles Flounder from little mermaid - don't you? I cut a 1/2 sheet cake in half and stacked on top of each other to get the height, filled, and then started carving. The cheeks and nose were accomplished by tacking balls of fondant to the cake to the carved cake. I then crumbcoated the entire thing and then covered in fondant and took time to genty form the mouth and sculpt the fondant balls underneath the fondant sheet. Mowhawk and fins are fondant that was allowed to dry for stability. I think he turned out okay, next time the tail will be RKT for stability. Thanks for looking

Birthday Princess Party
Made for the daughter of my good friend Kerri whom was having a princess themed party for her 4th birthday. Crowns are made of a drived gumpaste/fondant mix and then airbrushed with colored luster. The stars on the wands are fondant cutouts (4) that have a lollipop stick sandwiched between them. To make it extra princess like, I colored the white cake pink. Thanks for looking.
