I cut the cake shape out of a 12 x 18 cake and covered with icing and marshmallow fondant flavored with rasberry. The mane and tail were made of icing as well as the eye.
I cut the shape of the plane out of a 8 x 8 cake. It was iced in buttercream, and added a fondant puppy and window. The propeller was done out of rice paper and placed on a toothpick topped with fondant.

My son had his birthday at the nature center with lots of snakes, lizards, ferrits, frogs, etc. He wanted an orange frog with blue spots and a snake in the shape of a "5" since he was turning 5. This is what I came up with.
