This cake took over 350 hours to make. This was the first competition I entered in, and I believe it’s the best one out there. It is hosted by Kerry Vincent in Tulsa, Oklahoma every year. This cake was made out of fondant and gumpaste. I hope everyone can enjoy it. =)
Here is a website with more of my CakeWork
Video has been removed :(
I would have loved to seen it, why was it removed?
yes, why the tease?
That would have been very interesting to see.
Maybe they didn't have her permission, I would not be surprised!
We are actively working with Vivian Pham to correct the problem with her awesome video.. and will let you know as soon as it has been resolved!
It's not located on her site either.
I just finished watching it. Didn't have any problems.
Amazing and insane amount of work
Thank you so much for fixing the problem, it was just amazing to see your work. Your an amazing cake artist.
this is amazing!
Beautiful and amazing work. I can't imagine what 1st place looked like if you came in 6th.
I was able to watch it... but it was moving so fast it gave me a headache! I'd think they could slow it down a little even if it has to be split into 2 or 3 videos... didn't get much out of it...
OMG this cake is amazing ! Beautiful wedding cake, great talent.
Absolutely stunning cake.
How fascinating to watch such an incredible artist do her thing! Thanks for sharing.
Amazing! Beautifully done!
What A Beautiful cake. Is much of it actually edible though??
After saying that. who would want to cut it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Completely inspiring! It's great to see what can be accomplished without moulds! All that freehand placement of decorations, and the skill.....Vivian is an artistic genius!
Absolutely incredible! I have no words. Congratulations.
I didn't make this video for instructional purposes, I made it as a documentation to inspire and to show people the tedious work that involves making wedding cakes like these. I wish I could have slowed it down, but 350 hours of work condense into 17 minutes is more practical to see in one video than multiple videos that would be 30 minutes.
Thank you! ;)
Tis was a dummy cake for a cake competition. Everything on it is edible.
Such a beautiful cake and a daunting amount of work! Good for her! To see what she is able to do with just a few simple cutters is amazing! I would have thought a cake like this would need hundreds of premade molds or something in order to get all the ornate details. Does anyone know is the cake covered in silver leaf?
Wow just beautiful , amaizing ! What she's able to accomplish with simple cutters.
Thank you! No I did not use any silver leaf. I used silver/ gold highlighter dust mixed with Gin (painted it on and airbrushed some parts)
The silver looks amazing... well, the whole cake is amazing! I didn't realize you were actually commenting! Thanks for a response. :) Now, is this something that just sort of developed as you worked on it, or had you planned everything out?
Wow!!! This is amazing!!
wow, so much detail work! Love all the details. where did you get your leaf cutter and veiner?
Whew!!! BEAUTIFUL work. Watching this has taught me a lot!!! God bless you Vivian, and that's all I can say right now.
Congratulations. I hope you won the competition. This is a true work of art.
