anyone? I have 2 minutes on a auction on ebay for a printer and I don't want it if I can't use it on fondant. Thanks!
never mind...it's over...it became too expensive anyway...but if anyone has the answer to my question...i'm sure there will be more to bid on very soon! Thanks!
Do you mean, can you print them on fondant? Or do you mean can you put the edible image on fondant?

Heehee, guess I could have answered both possibilities. No you cannot print your edible image directly on fondant, You can however attach an edible image onto fondant and it will basically blend right into it.

Squirrelly is right. You can use frosting sheets on fondant by attaching them with piping gel or just moistening the fondant slightly.
Thank you both....my question was about putting then on fondant after they are printed. hee hee.
So, now I'm in search of a Canon printer. I noticed on the websites that sell all the edible images supplies that they specify the Pixma ip1500 and the ip2000 and ip3000.......what about the ip1600.....will that work too or is there something different about it? Thanks!!!!
It is all about the cartridges that are available with the edible inks. Maybe you could check at Kopykakes and/or Sugarcraft to see what cartridges are available. Janice
I just bought a canon pixma ip1500 from walmart for $69.00 canadian and I bought my ink and paper from tastyfotoart. If you look on the site it gives you the types of priniters it has cartridges for.
No...the 1600 won't work. Like Janice said, it's all about the cartridges and the cartridges won't fit the 1600. Tastyfotoart sells the printers at reasonable prices but I don't like their form of edible paper. Not as good a quality as Kopykake brand or Lucks. I prefer Kopykake supplies but you could buy the printer from just about anywhere as long as it's new.
