I am taking the Wilton Course I, and mixing the colors for the rainbow cake. Are there any tips for coloring BC? I am just kind of doing it slowly, waiting and seeing how it looks in a couple of hours, darkening it, etc... Also how do you get the color to blend in all the way?

Any tips would be great, thanks icon_smile.gif

Gosh, I have never waited for my colors. I just color & decorate as I go! What kind of colors are you using? If it's powders, yes, they have to be mixed well. But gel should be ok.

The red is the one I am having issues with, it was pink, then like a neon pink, now it's like and orangy red....

If you have pink gel, make pink first then add red to it. That seems to work best for me.

Yeah it is christmas red, I let it sit overnight to see how much it darkened, or does it need to crust before it darkens?

Thanks for all the tips
