Hello. This is a public service announcement. There is a govt site you can search to see if you have unclaimed money. I looked at mine and I had 3 different unclaimed funds. My mom got $600. If you want to check it out here is the link http://www.unclaimed.org/ My claim is still processing. They don't tell you how much is in the account. Mine just said Under $50 and over $100. If you haven't looked it's certainly worth a try!

No...this is absolutely true. Not a scam or advertising. This is really from the Department of Treasury I just thought I would share it in the lounge so others might know. I don't even know what the money is from...one of the accounts has my maiden name and I was only 16 at the time. I find that odd....unless it was some kind of bank account my dad had for me and forgot about. It probably has like $1.25 in it...lol

Oh and my Mom really did get money from it. Her dad had a life insurance policy to split between the kids but he lived in another state. The insurance company didn't know whereto find the kids so they put it in an escrow account.

Yeahhhhh, you probably don't have a million dollars. But you might get a hundred! And with that you can buy a new cake toy!!! It's worth checking out. I was really surprised to find anything for myself.

And with this, unlike the scam emails you file a claim directly to the govt instead of paying some shyster 30%

Haha all I could see on the homepage was "Yeahhhhh, you probably don't have a million dollars. But you might get a hundred! And with that you can buy...."  and my next line of thought was...."you can buy a 100 lottery tickets and WIN a million dollars!"

I wonder if mine is a settlement from the class action against against Courtywide or BOA...I got a letter about it a couple of years ago and then kind of forgot about it.

But then I had 3 claims show up. The one in my maiden name wasn't on there a few months ago...
