Fitting Jersey Cake On Cake Board!!

AI'm making a Dallas Cowboys jersey cake but trying to figure out how I'm going to fit the sleeves on the board. It's an 11x15 rectangle and I'm going to carve out the sleeves and add them on. The cake boards I have are 13x19. How the heck do I do this? I was thinking of perhaps placing another cake board horizontally (kinda looking like a cross) so that way the sleeves will be on the board. Any ideas or tips? Will this work?

You would have to put it on sideways and cut the jersey short, done this way, it should fit on one board. I found these images on google "football jersey cake"

No problem, I'm glad your way worked out! Is a picture going to appear soon?
AOh and it was my first time using chocolate ganache!! I LOVED it!! Any tips or advice on what to use to brush on to help the fondant stick to it? I just used water but would've loved to use something with flavor!
It didn't come out exactly how I wanted but oh well. I'll learn for next time. The football turned out horrible but they seemed to like it. It was for my moms fiances birthday and he absolutely loved it. I wish I could've piped more grass and gotten the blue darker but I was running out of time!
How did you make your numbers? If you cut them with an Exacto Knife or something similar, they came out great! Are the numbers fondant?
