I have a friend who wants me to make his daughter a very eclectic cake. His 2yo loves Captain Hook, Kira from Dark Crystal, Mother Ginger from the Nutcracker (the lady with the huge dress that other people come out of) and Cinderella. I suggested a 4-tier cake with one tier for each character, and I suggested a square cake with each side for a character, but he didn't seem to thrilled with those ideas. He suggested Hook, Kira, and Cinderella coming out from under a HUGE Mother Ginger - but then he said he didn't know if that was really what he wanted, but that it had to have pink on it.
Please help me mesh these two ideas! Anything you have will help me.

I like the idea of the other characters coming from Mother Ginger's dress. I don't see any other way to connect the ideas together in a way that makes some sort of sense.

Unless you just make a pink cake with the four characters stood on top...bit random

If the four characters sitting on top each held part of a big sign that says, "Happy Birthday!" or whatever it wouldn't look that random.

He's asking way too much. Hope he's paying good money for this because this sounds like a migraine in the making.

I agree with the coming out of the dress idea.. He might not of thought it was do-able which Is why he retracted it. These are all random characters, I don't see any other way

Just a little update:
I quoted him the price of $120 (for a 4 tier cake with all that stuff on it, for two reasons...he's the manager at a place I make cakes for and I'm stupid) and he told me that was WAY out of his price range.
Ha.
My kid wasn't even invited to his kid's party anyway.
It did make things weird for a while though. I mean, really, four SQUARE tiers for $120 and it's too much?
