Need NON refigerated chocolate filling that will be ok in a cake for 2 days before its served. help?
I did wasc chocolate cake with chocolate Jello already made pudding and i added reese in it... everyone raved about that cake.. it was sooooo good... easy and afordable and u can keep it out..
My understanding of the pre-made jello pudding is....once you have popped them open, they are no longer shelf-stable and would require refrigeration. I've been wrong before though! LOL
Chocolate buttercream would work for this. Just add melted/cooled chocolate or cocoa powder to your buttercream. I prefer a whipped buttercream (Whimsical Bakehouse recipe) for fillings.
Chocolate ganache is very versitile get the recipie from this CC site and prepare it per the instructions, then whip it with a hand mixer - it fluffs up great (much easier to spread this way also) - if that's too chocolatey then add buttercream to it a bit at a time until you get an outcome you like.
