Making Water Look Like Water

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've been searching and can't find it in another post anywhere.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make water out of icing that looks like water....TIA!

i used blue piping gel

yes, blue piping gel. If you want it to have foam then drag a little white icing through it with the "current."

I've also seen poured sugar. That's my project for this weekend!

Although I have also used piping gel to make realistic looking water, I have seen many people use icing. If you want rough waves, you ice with light blue sort of sloppily or in waves and then touch the tops of the waves with white icing.
