Hi Cady! I have posted a couple but on the forums, not in the galleries. I post pictures on another site, www.r-bdesigns.com
You have to look in the forums under Cake Pictures or Wedding Cake Pictures.

Wow Squirrely Cakes I just checked out your site and your cakes are spectacular. I love the one with the flamingos and the one for your dads retirement. Great ideas and so well done. I really want to try making some flamingos now, you have me all inspired.

Hi there,
Not my site nor are those my cakes, haha. The site belongs to Tomorrow and you were likely looking on the cakes on her personal portion of the site. I have cakes posted in the forums section of the site, in the Cakes and Wedding Cakes section where all of the members post.
But yes, Tomorrow does a wonderful job of decorating, her cakes are fabulous! She is one talented very nice lady. She and her sister decorate cakes and her boyfriend helps out as well. She is very creative!
I should have stated that wasn't my site, just a site that I have posted on since its inception. Haha, they put up with me there like they do here!

Okay, so I tried looking there for your pictures and that site is the most impossible site to maneuver in! Cake Central is so much easier and more organized! I'm sure your cakes are beautiful!!! Sure wish I could see them.

Haha, actually it is really simply set up, just takes some getting used to. When you are in the forums, go to the section, Cooking. Under that section there are subsections, Cakes and Wedding Cakes and that is where my cakes and everyone else's are. There is no specific picture gallery. Funny thing is I find it easier to find things than on this site because it is much smaller and I guess I am used to it. Because the site has no advertising or such, it costs the owners to keep it running and that is why the format is not the same.

SquirrellyCakes, you're my hero!!!

My 2 year old watches a cute animated preschooler learning show on Disney channel called "Higgleytown Heroes". The funny thing is that there's a squirrel on there. She has a lady's voice and she's the mentor of these four kids. It's very cute. Anyway, when I see her on there, it reminds me of you. After all, you're the mentor of so many cake decorators out there.

My first cake was also the 1st birthday cake of my first child. (Only for me, that was just a year ago, hehe!) I wonder how many of us got into decorating for that same reason...

Ok Squirrelly, your not getting out of this one! LOL I have found the cakes, but now how can I tell which ones are yours? They are all fabulous by the way.

PolishMommy, My son also watches Higgleytown heros, and I don't think I will ever look at Fran quite the same way again. LOL

Haha, I think that is indeed why many of us get into cakes, our children! Usually the cost factor comes into it too, that was my reason. I wanted the girls to have special cakes as the only birthday cake I remember as a child was a doll cake my aunt had made for me. So those memories do stay with you. My girls remember every cake and special cookies that I ever made for them.
Heehee, I have seen that too, it is a cute programme!
Haha, my mother always said I should do children's programming as I have a bad habit of making up different voices for stuffed toys, dolls and real animals. My daughters picked up on the habit too. Never really thought of it until they were teenagers and had some friends over and the girls and I were making the cats talk. We have a rather snobbish female and a fat lazy timid male cat, so their voices and attitudes suit them. Anyway the girls' friends looked at us like we were insane, haha! When my nieces and nephews bring their little ones to visit, I am nearly hoarse afterwards because I make all of their dolls and stuffed toys and such talk and the children don't get tired of it, so it goes on a long time, haha! They refer to me as the animal aunt, haha!
Well I think it is wonderful that you are making memories for your little one. Thanks for your kind words!

Haha, you are likely looking at Tomorrow's cake on her personal portion of the site! Aren't they wonderful?
The other section of the site is a message board or forums, with various topics. The members' cakes are in two areas, under the Cooking Forum, subsections Cakes and Wedding Cakes. There is no gallery, they are amoungst the posts in these sections. You can tell who made what by the name of the original poster. I posted some older cakes recently, going back about 20-30 years and some of my newer cakes are there too. I had fun when I found an old photograph album of some old cakes. Geesh, I was big on lining the boards with tinfoil back then, because I couldn't get the Wilton foil or other coverings. Likely why I have a thing about not using tinfoil now, haha!

Ok Squirrelly cakes your off the hook. I found your cakes at last! My My, I must say they are fabulous!

Once I got started I couldn't stop looking-which is why it took me so long to get back here.

I looked at ALL of your cakes and you do a wonderful job!

Next question--how long ago was the pic of you and your daughter? Regardless it is nice to put a face with the name.

Thanks for letting us look.

Haha, well I am glad I am off the hook, haha!
Well, that picture of my first cake with my oldest daughter, would have been 29 years old this past June, haha! So now I am a heavier, pruney version of that picture, haha surprisingly with very few grey hairs, and much shorter hair, haha! Funny thing the gray hairs only came when my youngest was 17 and gave us a run for our money, hhmn! Seems funny now, it wasn't then. That is about the only thing our genes are good for, we grey very late compared to most people. My mother hardly had any grey hair when she was 55, so I may have a few good years to go yet, haha!
It is really funny now, looking at some of the cake pictures. I wish I had always had a camera available, I don't have a lot of pictures of my cakes. I finally got a digital camera at Christmas and I try to take pictures of most of the cakes when I remember to do so. That is an important thing, don't depend on others for pictures or you will be disappointed. I cannot tell you how many pictures I was promised that I am still waiting for. After the event, people forget so be sure to take photos of all of your cakes. It is fun to go back and look and see the progress you made or learn from your mistakes or improve on techniques or presentation. Plus the pictures trigger memories!

I have to invest in a digital camera soon. I hate waiting for pics. I guess I want instant gradification.

My grandmother had very few grey hairs when she pasted away at age 81. I on the other hand have been coloring my hair for the last few years, and I am 34.

Well thank you! I have fun with it all.
Yes, well at least with a digital you are forced to download when the memory is filled up and it isn't like when you leave the film in a drawer and forget about it, hhmn, yeppers that was me, haha! But the main thing is to take those pictures and save them on disk or develop them or do something with them!

Hi there Northern Ontario,
Haha, if you knew how hard it was to get myself to post pictures of cakes anywhere, haha! I do post here from time to time, but in the posts not in the galleries. Heehee if a picture is worth a thousand words, maybe I would be a lot quieter!
