I need a good tasting fondant recipe. I would really like to make my son a fondant covered birthday cake, but I don't want to use wilton's fondant in a box. Please help!
Have you tried marshmallow fondant? It's easy, tastes good and is cheap to make!
Here's the recipe that I always use: http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm
I have Never tried MMF, But I did try Michelle Foster's and (WoW) I also swore I would never make Fondant It Was So easy to make and it tastes great I added banana flavoring to mine My Kids and I were in heaven.

It can be made in your kitchen aid mixer very cost effective
I have made MMF and added 1 tbsp glycerin and it turned out great. The glycerin helps its to be more stretch more. Very very cheap to make I use any name brand marshmallow all worked.
