I used that recipe and then added 1 cup of DH yellow cake mix after it had cooled right before putting it in my ice cream maker. I think I will add 1 1/2 cups cake mix next time though.
Thanks! BTW - you have no idea how close I was to driving to North Carolina to pry the recipe out of you. lol

That would be a long drive. I was having a cake consultation and when I came back to my computer I noticed there was about to be some rioting from my post with no recipe.

I started reading this post and thought "What the . . .?!?!? No recipe?!?!?" Thanks again for posting the recipe.
I've been storing the leftover egg yolks in a Tupperware container. I use them up by adding them (a few at a time) to my scrambled eggs for my son and husband over the period of a couple days.
Thank you Jenn and Jan!
Now maybe I can find a way to replicate the Carrot Cake Batter Ice Cream they used to carry at Cold Stone. That one was my favorite!
While certainly not as good as ice cream, I also use the egg yolkes to make homemade noodles for my chicken and noodles or beef and noodles.
oooooh... homemade noodles. With ice cream for dessert!
Gives new meaning to "waste not, want not". Yum!
