I made two cakes for my kids' "Pirate and Princess" party and was running soo late. My cakes rarely live up to my expectation and I since this was my first attempt with a new filling and MMF (fondant in general really) I was worried.

After working ALL Day on them I looked at them setting next to one another and started crying. Not only did they meet my expectations but they exceeded it. I have to brag!!!

When I saw the title of your post, I was worried it was an unhappy post but I'm so glad for you that it isn't! I'm sure your kids loved both of their cakes.

It happens so often that what we envision in our heads doesn't come out the end of our piping bags... When it works out just right, though, ain't it a lovely feeling?!?!
