We decided to take the plunge... I say we because my husband is involved regardless of wanting to or not.

Thankfully Oregon isn't as strict on some things as other states from what I read. PHEW!

My question is simple... last night I mentioned in passing to my husband about putting the business in both names. He didn't say much. What his only comment was "I'd be doing only the financial stuff the rest is all you and your creativity. My only concern is I'm going to hate the smell of cake before long".

Can anyone share the pro/con on putting both our names on a business license? We own our home together, we own our cars together so putting him on the business (or not) is it going to make much of a difference?

It won't matter for just the kitchen license. It won't limit you in any way to have only one name as "owner".

Besides you have to re-apply every year, so you would have the opportunity to make a change if you wanted.

I have my name on the business license, and my dh and I both own the home. He runs hus business out of the home also and his name is on his business license.

Will not affect you in any way. The only think I can think of that may affect it is if you are incorporated. But all this is on http://licenseinfo.oregon.gov/
