Hi everyone,
I'm a new poster, having just found this site if you can believe it!
I'm a pro pastry chef, exploring the possibility of going out on my own...legally, anyway Decorated cookies, wedding and special occasion cakes are my areas of focus.
I've been reading the posts about the diffculties in licensing your home kitchen...so frustrating! I have worked in bakery kitchens that should be condemed! Amazing that my spotless and immaculately clean home kitchen isn't good enough for NJ.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I would love to hear from other NJ bakers ( I'm in South Jersey) and how you are dealing with this conundrum!

I would love to share all of your tips and advice! I'm trying to get a sense of naviagation on this site. I'm probably posting everywhere and making no sense, so please bear with me!

You're doing just fine so far.....it does take a while to learn a new site, but for the most part, this is pretty easy. Just takes getting used to.
Keep posting your super cakes!!!! Can never see enough of diffenent designs.

I do happen to be just that, by the way. Far, far from a professional, I'm currently from Somerset county (though I was born and raised in Brooklyn) and have been baking for years for my family.

This is a wonderful site with nice, extremely creative, people.
