Hi am going to attempt my first stacked cake. I have read the articles posted about how to dowel it, assemble, etc. I am planning of covering it with BC with MMF accents if this is possible. I am unsure of what kind of cake to use--I would assume something firm but I am not sure. Please help.

As long as it is well supported with boards and dowels, most any cake will work with buttercream. (if course, not angel food
just be sure the layers are leveled and flat.
