I just made a cake for my cousins graduation, I volunteered, but I am wanting to know what any of you would typically charge for this cake.

It is the graduation cake in my photos--sorry I can't figure out how to include the pic in my post--

Each tier is 2 layers. Buttercream icing. Top is 12" and bottom is 16"

How much do you think?? Thanks!

p.s. thanks to llj68 for the inspiration for this cake icon_smile.gif

Around $150. That's a lot of cake. Beautiful cake by the way. Your roses are beautiful.

Well, everyone is different everywhere...

But if it were me I'd charge $2 per serving (how many servings did that have?).

That would make it $256 for a total of 128 servings at $2 a serving.

I would charge 80-85 dollars for that cake, but I usually charge on the low end.
It's a beautiful cake by the way!

Well according to my price list (which is really just for my own personal use so I don't panic and severely undercut myself), I would charge about $130 if each tier is a double layer, about $85 if they're single layers.

OMG...I didn't realize it was double layers! I wouldn't go any lower than 125.00!

And as I said...I usually sell on the lower end.

My lowest would also be $125. The design is fairly simple and it's a party cake, not a wedding cake. If you had to deliver it I would add for that also since that sucker probably weighed a ton!!! icon_smile.gif
