I have a baby shower cake coming up in a few weeks. Asked to make a cake for 30. I usually make 2 11 x 15 x 2 layers then tort and fill. What is going rate. It is for my niece and she insists on paying fair market value. I figure the ingredients alone are about 20.00. I told her for plain simple decorated cake,BC runs at least 1.50 per serving and then more for extra deco's etc. But after reading several threads here in re: to sheetcakes and how cheap they are I am wondering if that is to much? For double layer is that to cheap? icon_confused.gif Hmmmm, I just realized I am basing my serving sizes on party sized pieces of cake, so should I be charging more per slice? What a headache. I normally just gift cakes or charge for ingredients, haven't a clue what to charge. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. icon_smile.gif

The minimum charge is normally ingredients x 3 - minimum

$20 ingredients, minimum $60
