Just curious....Everytime I use this pan it has been vanilla cake or marble..I always mix it with a pound cake mix. Is it possible to use all a red velvet mix or just a choc cake mix? without the pound cake?

Please help if you can...Or, should I call the customer?

Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate it!! Nicole

p.s. I have a horrible cold...and my brain is not working quite right!

I have used choc cake in the 3D bear. It was a box mix and I just added an extra egg and subbed in milk for water. Came out fine and is in my pics. I have also done it with a regualr box mix choc and it was not as sturdy. It was fine but I was much more nervous with that bear.

You should be fine with the chocolate, but I would be nervous doing it with red velvet. That is already such a delicate cake.

Thank you, I always add an extra egg...But didn't know the milk makes it more dense too. Does that mean it has to be refridgrated then?

I hope not since mine was not refrigerated. The milk is cooked at a pretty high temp for almost an hour so it will be ok.
