Pineapple Buttercream

Has anyone ever mixed a can crushed pineapple with buttercream. Is this a good filling? Thanks.

I've mixed crushed pineapple with heavy whipping cream and it was delicious. I don't see why you couldn't mix it with BC for a filling, I've mixed strawberries & cherries with great results.

It helps to remove as much juice as possible before you add the pineapple. If you recipe for buttercream calls for water, you can sub the pineapple juice.

I just did it this weekend and it was great! Everyone loved it.
Just make sure you drain the pineapple well. I let it sit in a sieve while I was making the buttercream.

That's funny i just posted a pic where i used crushed pineapples in my cake and filling. The filling was a whipped filling, i put the juice right in there and it was awesome!!!!! I think it would be great w/ bc too!!!!!
