Does anyone know if I can use butter flavored crisco instead of regular crisco for butter cream recipe. I am doing the half butter half crisco recipe and I am not sure if I can substitute that ingredient. thank you in advance for your advice. God Bless

You can sub them for each other in most recipes, but the icing will not be very white.

Hi,
I copied a posting of Squirrellycakes that she posted to someone wanting to know about bc icing with butter flavored crisco.

"There is a higher moisture content in the Butter flavoured Crisco, some people find it makes their icing a bit messy or too wet because of this.
Hugs Squirrelly"
