Thank you everyone for all your suggestions. I think I have decided on a name!!!

Tell me what you think about this...
I like the name Peaches n' Cream Cakery. Then I would like to come up with a "Signature" Peaches and Cream Cake. What do y'all think??? And I was thinking about the logo. I like what JennT came up with except that instead of having the peach on top of the cake, what would y'all think about having a cake with like a stained glass effect with peaches on the sides. An elegant type look. My style is more of an "Old World" style. I love the era of the early 1800's.
Any and all suggestions wanted please!!

I think that's a great idea to have a signature cake. I think a cake like that would look great. Whenever you get a pic of it, let us see!

I also like the idea of having a signature cake or signature recipe.
Good luck with your decision!

For a logo, I was thinking about a peach with a single leaf, somewhat tilted to the left, in the background, with a simply decorated 3 tier cake overlapping it. Both are about the same size. The peach may need to be slightly larger. I hope that makes sense. I wish I was as talented as and had the resources that JennT has to show you what I mean. Good job JennT on what you've been able to come up with!!

Thanks so much you 2 for the compliments! icon_biggrin.gif Ok...so an old world looking, maybe stained glass effect cake...with peaches worked in somewhere....hmmmmm....this one might take me a couple of days. But I'll be working on it and see what I can turn out. icon_wink.gif

Don't laugh...but as far as a stained glass look, this is what I've come up with so far...I don't think this is the look you're wanting. icon_sad.gifthumbsdown.gif Susan - if you could give me a pic of the type of look you want the cake to have...that would give me something to work with. I'm just having a really hard time imagining a stained glass look on a cake and how to translate that into a graphic.

I took the cake sketch and painted it in with a shade of peach and it ended up having a very old world stucco look...very nice on its own. But when I applied the stained glass illusion in my program to the painted sketch of the cake, this is how it ended up looking. I tried what steph95 suggested with the peach behind the cake.

I'm working on another one...it won't have the stained glass look, but it will have that old world feel, I think. Stay tuned...... icon_razz.gif

Ok, Miss Susan...here's the other one. I think it needs something on the top, maybe not. Let me know what you like, don't like, or want differently. Once we get the cake the way you want it, I'll put it together with a coordination font and text and we'll see how it turns out. icon_smile.gif

JennT - I like both of them but they are just not quite what I am looking for. If I weren't at work right now I'd draw a picture of what I am thinking about. I'll try to describe it as best I can. I like the stained glass look but using peaches on the cake. My last night of work is Wednesday night. I'll be at home after that and I will draw something that I think you might be able to help me out with. I greatly appreciate everything you are doing for me icon_biggrin.gif

And if anyone has any suggestions that you think would look better than I am suggesting please mention it icon_smile.gif

Thanks

That's what I thought too...that neither is really right...lol. icon_rolleyes.gif I think you drawing something out will give me a lot to go on...I just can't get it in my head for some reason...lol. icon_razz.gif I really enjoy doing this sort of thing and hope that I'm able to turn something out that is really what you want and something you can use. It's soooo costly to pay to have a logo made these days....DH & I know - we own a landscaping business & when we got some quotes for having it done we freaked out! It's just not affordable when you're first starting out with a small business, usually. So, get me that drawing when you can and I'll get back to work on it! icon_wink.gifthumbs_up.gif

And YES....if anyone else has any ideas that could help bring this concept together for LazySusan...please share!! icon_smile.gif

Hi, I am pretty new here but thought I would put in my two cents for you. I don't really have an idea, but I am (was) a graphic designer before I became a stay at hom mom this year, and there are a couple of rules to make a fantastic logo.

1. It has to work in black and white...it can be better in color but you should be able to get your point across in black and white, like if you had a letterhead or business card that wasn't in color.

2. It should work at any size. If you get too much detail you will not be able to see it on a small business card.

Good luck! I know you will come up with something great. I like the name, it makes me hungry, lol!

Are you looking for a tiffany look? Like his dragonfly lampshades but instead of dragonflies you want peaches?

This website has a ton of these lamps that yuo can draw inspiration from. Hope this helped!

JennT - Just very curious, what program are you using to create those cake pictures with? Looks like something I would like to have and do myself.

What JennT came up with was almost what I had in mind, except the cake should be a little smaller, the same height as the peach. and the cake looks more like the second one you did. I do like the second image.
