I made mmf about two weeks ago. I wrapped it and coated it with crisco placed it in a plastic ziploc bag. I went to use it last night for accents on my 1st purse cake and it was terrible. It was very clumpy and hard. I tried using a little crisco but everything I tried to cut out or shape cracked. Help what can I do? I really like the taste of it, but how do I work with it.

I have found that a single ziplock is not sufficient to keep the fondant from drying out. You can try to warm it in the microwave- just a few seconds at a time. then knead it when it is soft enough. Beware-hot fondant will stick and burn. You just want it warmed not melted.

I also had the same problem my first time with it. but i warmed it, add a little corn syrup and shortening and it turned fine icon_wink.gif
