I just got this e-mail!!!
"Dear Wilton Method Cake Decorating Student:
Wilton is very excited to announce BAKE DECORATE CELEBRATE!, our very own public television show launching this spring. As a valued Wilton customer and cake decorator, we wanted to share the exciting details with you.
On BAKE DECORATE CELEBRATE!, viewers will see how exciting it is to create great cakes, cupcakes, cookies, candies and more. In each episode, hosts Nancy Siler and Melanie Glasscock will focus on a specific theme such as Kids Birthdays, Garden Party Desserts or Chocolate Treats. Theyll decorate specialty projects based on that theme and give related decorating ideas to make the celebration complete. The show is not only geared toward the non-decorating consumer so we can get them excited about baking and cake decorating, it is also full of ideas and inspiration for anyone with decorating or entertaining experience.
BAKE DECORATE CELEBRATE is supported by a web site that will feature step-by-step instructions for all of the projects seen on the show (about 120). Youll also find basic decorating techniques, an Ask Nancy link, discussion forum and inspirational ideas for every celebration. Check it out!

Let's get out there and get our voices heard!!!
hhhmmmm.........i have never recieved any email from wilton...i wonder if my instructor turned things in for us...we didn't even get our free gift last month from course one...i think i should check into it though...
Thanks for posting this. I had heard about the show some time ago but when I checked, our local PBS station wasn't going to carry it. I'm going to email them right now! Thanks again!
I saw this on the Wilton site, and unfortunately none of the PBS stations that service my area currently have plans to air this, but "will submit" as a suggestion.................that's ok, the website should be a good one to use instead
deb
Thanks for the heads up. I read about this on Wilton a while ago too. Going to check on airing right now!
...yeah, I just checked for Houston, TX and it's not airing here either...I just dropped them a note myself! I hope enough of us bug them into airing this program!!
yeah... here's a copy of my e-mail:
To Whom It May Concern:
Wilton has created BAKE DECORATE CELEBRATE!, a public television show launching this spring. I understand that some PBS stations are carrying it while others are not. It appears that you are currently not carrying this program in your schedule. I hope that you will consider this request in bringing this program to the Houston metroplex area.
Thank you,
tanyap
I'm in houston - i sent mine in last night. I will keep forwarding my email i got to the ladies I know!!!
Grrrr. I sent mine to OPB and it bounced back. It was the same email they posted on their site.
I am going to email too! Sounds like a really good show.
I never received any free gifts after my 3 Wilton courses! I want free stuff!!!!
yeah...what's the deal with the free gifts? I'm on their e-mail list (somehow) but never got anything after I completed I, II, & III. What's the scoop?
I got the free gift after course 1 last month. It was a Wilton kit to put colored sugar in a tube and stick a plastic heart on top. Not really anything I will ever use.
I just got my email from Wilton, so I've emailed my local PBS station. Let's hope it works!
I just emailed them. Hope it works!!!!!!!!!!!!
I finished my 3 wilton courses and never listen about free gifts
I got the free gift after course 1 last month also. It was a Wilton kit to put colored sugar in a tube and stick a plastic heart on top. I made them for my daughters daycare class for Valentines Day....other than that i really cant see me using it either.
I wonder though I have never gotten a e-mail from them and I have signed up on there website as well as given my e-mail in class I have also ordered several thing directly from wilton.com! Hummmmm......
Philly is a no go. I wonder who is going to carry it?
Not NJN in Trenton! I got the following response today:
"Dear Diane,
At present we dont have plans to air Bake, Decorate, Celebrate and it is not in our lineup for the near future. However, I will bring your suggestion to the attention of the Programming Department. They take such suggestions seriously and all I can say at this point is stay tuned!"
I guess I'll just keep trying!
That's funny. Our students' free gift was the decorating tip pouches. Perhaps it varies depending on where you teach!
I just emailed Philadelphia's PBS station.........hope more people do, I would love to see this show

I agree! I emailed both the Phila. and Trenton affiliates (we get both here in Cape May Co.) and I'll keep doing so 'til they change their minds!
I e-mailed my local PBS a few days ago because I did not see it on the programing schedule. Now it is there!!!!! It looks like the first one is March 4 at 12:00 on kids cakes!!
